Yes yes, I know, I'm like the world's worst blogger. It's not that I don't love all of you, or that I don't want to tell you more about what I'm doing, it's that I simply don't have time!!!

RL has been insanely busy for me. I'd forgotten how much work that working for a living can be (kinda makes me miss school, although, income is rather nice!).

I did, however, manage to find a few minutes to spare to make a fun little movie with Scooby - it's a joint Sick Bubblegum/Scooby Mode Production, featuring yours truly and Scooby, along with voice talents from the lovely Kai Barineaux (and me, even though I sound kinda stuffed-up).

Some Things To Say...

Before I start, I should warn you, this isn't going to be a blog post like most of my recent ones have been. If you don't want to hear about what I'm thinking and feeling, well, stop reading now. Don't worry, I'll get back to the lighter, fluffier stuff soon enough.

... but before I do that, there's some things I need to get off my chest.

I should make it very clear that I'm not looking to cause drama here, so no names will get named. I'm just venting. I just want to get some of these thoughts out of my head and out into the universe.

Issue 1 - "It's not you, it's me"

I've never had very good luck with relationships, RL or SL. For whatever reason, I just don't. I get stuck in the "friend zone", or the guy I'm interested in ends up falling for someone else, or a guy will seem interested for a while then back off, or, far too often, I get duped into thinking a guy is decent, nice, even sweet, and he turns out to be a liar, a cheat, and/or an asshole.

Now, these guys aren't all one "type". If it was that, I could see that maybe I was just going after the wrong kind of guy. But they're not, so, I'm confused.

I get told all the time that I'm a great friend. I'm intelligent, loyal, supportive, generous to a fault, and I've been told on more than one occasion that I'm witty. So why don't those qualities make a guy (ANY guy) want to at least let me audition for the position of girlfriend, instead of just friend? I find this particularly confusing in SL, where nobody would accuse me of not being attractive, or outgoing (which are debatable qualities for me in RL).

One guy in particular stands out from the crowd in this regard. We've been friends for a while now, our RL situations and ambitions are very similar, we have similar personalities, we want the same kinds of things out of life, and we understand each others' issues and hang-ups. We've seen inside the darkness in each other, but we're still here, and we accept that. Yet, he says that he just doesn't think of me that way. Now, I'm not sure that he's ever really tried (although he says he has), and a part of me wants to think that he doesn't want to try because he, like me, has some fear and some issues with acceptance and with trusting people enough to let them in. But, the more rational part of me wonders what I'm doing wrong, especially when I consider the types of girls he does seem to end up with (they are, all of them, ditzy, shallow, manipulative... several of them have been liars and cheats... most of them are quite a bit younger than him as well).

So I guess my question is: What's so wrong with me???

Issue 2 - The Rules That Only Apply Here

I don't know how many of you have read "He's Just Not That Into You". I have. It has some valuable things to say, and provides a pretty good reality check into how men work when it comes to relationships.

Now, I get that not every guy I meet is going to be into me, just as I'm not going to be into every guy. My issue here is the guys who evade with these absolute rules, which later (often not very much later) do complete 180's, and then repeat that pattern. So really, their absolute statement (things like "I don't do SL relationships") really only mean "I don't want to have an SL relationship with you".

What really brought this one home is watching someone I used to care about get into a new relationship. Well, when he was with me, he wasn't particularly good at publically expressing his affection, or even telling many people who I was to him (probably due to the fact that he was fucking around). This guy made a huge production about even putting me in a profile pick in SL, and he only did that after I had mentioned it multiple times, after we'd been together for close to 2 months. That was the most I got. He swore that he'd never get partnered in SL, and he and I had had a few good laughs about the ridiculousness of SL weddings (not to knock anyone who wants one, they're just NOT for me). Well, I'm sure you can guess what's coming next. This guy has his profile chock-full of this new girl, who he has only been with for a month (and she's been in there for a while - someone told me about it, so yes, I checked it out), and, more than that, surprise! her name is in his partner box. A quick check of her profile also reveals them to have gotten "engaged" the day before they were partnered.

When I find out about these reversals, I feel like I've been lied to. I can accept an absolute rule. I have a hard time being subjected to a different standard than that applied to everyone else. Now, I understand that, especially when it comes to relationships, sometimes there's one person who comes along that changes all the rules. But really, it seems to happen with virtually every guy who rejects me, directly after he's involved with me! I feel like Good Luck Chuck a lot of the time.

I understand that guys don't want to hurt your feelings by saying they're not into you, but, really, is a little honesty too much to ask for?

Issue 3 - Liars, Cheats and the company they keep

Recently, an acquaintance of mine IM'd me to complain about her ex's conduct in a public place we had both been attending. The irony of this complaint has sorta stuck with me. While I understand her upset at having to watch the display, I found her attempt at righteous indignation over his behaviour to be somewhat misplaced, considering some of her own conduct. She was complaining about her ex having public sex with another mutual acquaintance of ours (whom neither of us are particularly fond). But this woman complaining was one of the ones who had slept with a guy knowing full well he was involved with someone else, and who didn't even apologize when she discovered that I was this guy's significant other at the time. That's right. She screwed my man, while he was my man, and never said a word of sorry to me when she found out that it was me (although she said straight-out that she had known at the time that he did have a girlfriend - she just hadn't known who it was)... yet was complaining to me about what her EX was doing.

Now, some of you may wonder why I'm making a big deal of this. Well, despite my extracurricular activities in SL - the movies, the photo shoots, etc... - I still have a fairly solid moral compass when it comes to relationships, hookups, etc. I'm a strong believer in karma, and, having been in the position of being cheated on before, I do my damndest to avoid causing that kind of pain to someone else, as I've stated on more than one occasion.

I think cheating is about the lowest thing a person can do. Beyond the lying involved (and for my views on that, just cruise back to my post on honesty), it's one of the foulest betrayals that I can think of. You're basically shitting on the entire premise of a relationship when you cheat. You've made promises to someone, who has made themselves open and vulnerable to you, and rather than taking care of those, or, if you're unhappy, ending it cleanly, you're stabbing someone you claim to care about in the back, right in the softest spots, the chinks in their armour that only you know about because they've let you see them due to the position you were in.

As for the guy who cheated on me, the girl mentioned above wasn't his only dalliance. I had suspected that he was being less-than-faithful, even after I'd given my okay to him still doing movies, as well as, reluctantly and less-than-happily given my consent for him to return to his motorcycle roleplay. I even found out he lied to me about how many people he'd cheated on me with (I had found out about some of them and confronted him, and he swore they were the only ones, yet I found evidence later that proved there had been at least two more, and some strong suspicions regarding several others that I couldn't confirm). Several of these women are people I'm acquainted with, and who gave no indication that they were happily fucking my guy... worse, many of them were quite nice to me while it was all going on. I guess someone who is willing to sleep with someone else's guy probably also has no compunctions about lying to that same person's face.

Some people see SL as a game, and whatever, that works for them, but at the same time, I think everyone needs to remember that there is a real person behind every avatar, and that their actions have consequences, and can cause pain. I don't know if any of the women involved will even see this post, or if they'll care, but maybe it will make one reader stop and think before they do something that could cause someone else - someone who has done nothing to them to deserve it - pain, and they'll reconsider.

So, I guess the moral of this story is to trust your gut instincts. They're right a frightening amount of the time. Also, remember that a little brutal honesty straight up hurts a whole lot less than finding out you've been lied to. Oh, yeah. And don't fuck someone else's man (or fuck someone else when you have someone waiting at home for you, figuratively speaking).

We had an amazing time. The movie wasn't scripted or even planned, we just decided to shoot it one night after we were out clubbing and having fun.

9. What is your favourite movie?
Ainsley Wirefly: Oh wow, that's a tough one. There's a lot of great movies I love for different reasons. I don't even want to start trying to name them, because I would undoubtedly forget some without meaning to.

10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Ainsley Wirefly: Well, that would require me to actually get there, which is, let's just say.... questionable. LOL If I did manage to get there, I'd hope he'd say something like "Come into my office and convince me that I should let you in". Hey Bubblegum Addicts!

Sorry I've been so quiet as of late, there's been, as the title of this post says, a lot going on. Some good, some not so much, but I'm still here.

Stryker and I ended things a while ago... amicably at first, but unfortunately I discovered, after the fact, that I'd been duped, deceived, and lied to. I guess the lesson in it all is to trust your instincts, because people, especially in SL, seem to have no compunctions against lying, even to people they claim to care about. I'm doing alright though.

On the good side of things though, as of Monday afternoon this week, I've finished my degree! Yayyyyy for no more school! I'll probably be around more for the next while before I start working, so if you would like me to be part of a project, shoot me an IM inworld!

Never fear, Sick Bubblegum Productions is also planning another very exciting endeavour, I'll let you know more as I get it more fully developed, but if it goes the way I want it to, it's going to be epic.

I'm making a movie!

Very exciting news!!!

That's right, I've stepped to the other side of the camera, and tonight, we started shooting the very first movie that I am co-directing, producing and co-wrote.

Of course, being me, it's no simple one set, two people, straight up concept. It has a large group of people involved, multiple scenes and settings, and we're hoping to get some very cool effects going with it to make it something unique and artistic, along with, of course, really really hot! That's all the details I'm giving you now, but stay tuned and I may release some sneak peek pictures. ;)

This first movie is going to be a Hard Candy/Sick Bubblegum joint, and once I gauge the reaction to the concept, then it's very likely I'll be forming my own production company. I'm still just starting out learning how to use the video and editing software, so for the moment I'll be working with established directors, having them shoot my concepts and storylines.

Ok, first off, let me apologize to all my loyal fans and followers. I've been a horribly negligent blogger!!!

I blame RL, and SL, and, well, me just being lazy, plus not having a whole lot of news to share. Well, maybe the last part isn't true so much as I've just been too busy being immersed in that news to take time to stop and write about it. But it's mostly RL's fault... yeah... ;)

So, for today's post, a quick recap:

I know, I've been missing for a while. I missed you, I promise!

RL has been crazy for me, and I needed to focus, so unfortunately, my SL time got seriously restricted. It should get at least a little better now, but no promises!

So a few quick updates, to make it easier to keep track of me! I'm hoping to get back in front of a camera very soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, I've started my own group: ~*~ Sick Bubblegum ~*~ for my friends and fans - I've set the enrollment to open for now, so that people can join up more easily.

Fool Me Once, Shame On You. Fool Me Twice, Fuck You

I probably shouldn't be blogging while I'm this upset. I'm sure I'll say something a little more honest than some people really want to hear, but right now, I don't give a shit.

I have had it up to here with men who promise one thing, then turn around and prove that their word means absolutely nothing. I'm tired of the lies, the half-truths, and just the general spinelessness of most men.

I was into a guy. He knew it. He fucked up pretty royally (see some earlier posts), but I decided I'd give him a second chance. He made some comments that gave some pretty serious indication that he was into me too. Then, my RL intervened in a way that made it fairly impossible for me to get online to see him.

Did this guy attempt to contact me? NO

Did he send messages through mutual friends? NO

Did this jerkass then decide he was going to go date someone else? YES

Did he bother to tell me about it himself, proactively, to lessen the blow? HELL NO

To make matters worse, this guy had mentioned a few other women before, several of whom are prime suspects for this new girlfriend of his, and swore to me that they were just co-workers and friends. I suspected otherwise, but, since he had promised he was going to re-earn my trust, I decided I'd believe him.

So, I guess what they say is true. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Right now, I'm feeling pretty damned foolish, ashamed of myself, and really really pissed off and upset.

So B, hope you enjoy it, cause you just walked away from what could have been the best damned thing in your life.

A Rollercoaster Ride

As May draws to a close, I'm looking back at what the last few months have been for me, and the ups and downs are so extreme, that a ride that followed them would need some serious safety gear.

My film "career" should be making leaps and bounds forward right now, with all the contacts I've been making of late, but the message never seems to come "hey, we're doing a shoot, come over, we want you in the movie". I helped another aspiring pornstar, who is the latest "IT" guy, and was repaid by being de-friended. I have made some very nice new friends though, and it will be interesting to see what the next little while brings.

As nice as new friends are, they don't replace the old ones, and a good friend had her heart stomped on and is taking a break. Even when I do see her, its not the same, the carefree silly spirit that was quintessentially "us" is gone now. Another has had to jump through hoops just to be able to stay on SL for ridiculous and autocratic reasons.

And then there's the guys.... I'll admit, I started crushing on someone, only to find out he was with someone else (see the earlier post on honesty). Now, he's not, and while he says he likes me too, he also is in a position where women throw themselves at him constantly. If it were just anybody, I probably wouldn't care, but some of these women are gorgeous, extroverted and openly sexual in ways I only wish I could be, despite what I do. Those of you who know me well know why I'm like this, and part of the reason I'm in SL is to try to overcome some of these issues, but it's a long, uphill battle.

Another guy I've known a long time, and while there's always been sparks between us, lately those seem to have faded. However, it seems like I'm the only person that applies to, as he's making conquests left, right and center, yet never casts his eye my way anymore. While I understand some of the reasons, it still smarts.

My RL has been hectic as well, but not as productive as I would have liked, and it has me feeling very uncertain and, I'll admit, pretty down, about the future - both immediate and over the longer term. I'm not sure how much more rejection I can take before I give up completely.

Ok. That's enough of my depressing ramblings for now, I just wanted to air some of this out.

It's been a while since I posted anything, sorry for my absence! RL has been a little crazy for me, so I haven't been on much. Hopefully I'll have things sorted out soon so I can be back with you (and in front of some cameras) very soon!

In movie news, I've joined the cast at PinkKitten Productions, very excited! I love their work and I'm looking forward to what Amy can come up with! I've also been chatting with a few other well-known directors, so with any luck, we'll have more of yours truly on your movie screens very soon!

Afternoon Delight

A while back, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to one of the biggest names in the SL Adult Film industry. This lovely, buxom blonde is a good friend of a friend of mine, and our first meeting was memorable, to say the least.

I didn't hear much from this new acquaintance for a while, our paths didn't seem to cross often. So, much to my surprise, when I logged in yesterday afternoon, I received a message from her almost immediately, inviting me to a party.

Being in one of my adventurous moods, I accepted.

The scene that greeted me was striking: a few bodies were still grooving on the dance floor, but what truly drew my eye, and soon my feet, was the intertwined mass of flesh moaning and writhing up on the dais at the side of the room. Several well-endowed males, along with some very nubile females, were squirming, thrusting, licking, sucking, panting and moaning together. I slowly approached, my thoughts blurring with lust, as I let my dress fall away from my body. I stood off to the side for a few moments until the lovely blonde instigator invited me closer.

Soon I was just as involved in the action. I lost count of the number of hands, breasts, tongues and other appendages I carressed, licked, or took into myself. My friend, the one who had first introduced me to the blonde, arrived at one point, if only to observe, and looking up to watch her expression as I, her protegee, engaged in this delicious debauchery was even more arousing.

Things wound down eventually, after many groans, whimpers and screams of delight rang through the room from the participants, and we drifted back to our respective lives, although I have a few new friends to show for the experience.

I remember someone mentioning that they were running some film at one point, so I'm eager to see how that turned out. For now, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the images wheeling through my mind.

Honesty

There's few things in this world that I dislike more than being lied to.

Being lied to deliberately is deception. But then, so is being lied to by omission, and it seems that lately, that's been happening all too frequently.

Maybe people think they can't talk to me, or maybe some of these people (mostly of the male persuasion) are just so obsessed with getting what they want that they don't pause for a moment to think about the impact of their actions.

In particular, my pet peeve is when someone doesn't admit to being involved with another person while they're trying to get with me. While this may seem strange, given my previous post, I do have a moral compass when it comes to matters bedroom-related, and it points very strongly away from causing pain to other people. I've been in the devastating position of being cheated on by a significant other, and knowing that kind of pain, I do my utmost to avoid inflicting that on anyone else.

In SL, there's two very simple ways to communicate your relationship status:
1. For the more serious pairing, there's the partner box. If there's a name in there, it's going to take something fairly extraordinary for that person to get into my pants. (There are some exceptions, notably in the professional context, when I assume that all parties are aware of what's going on, so I don't ask.)

2. For the not-quite-so-committed, there's Picks. Essentially favorites tabs, found in your profile, which, more often than not, are the true revelations about someone's personality, far more so than the diminutive 'About Me' box on the front page. If you're casually dating someone, or even at the not-quite-ready-to-partner stage, hell, if you have a regular bang-buddy, this is a good way to let everyone know about your connection.

So, now that these two easy-to-use options are made VERY obvious to people, my advice is to use them. I would much rather know, up front, about a guy having a girlfriend in SL, than to learn about it later via a range of unpleasant options: from being walked in on (or walking in on them), finding him in HER profile when I randomly encounter her somewhere, or getting the never-fun "What the hell are you doing with my man?" IM.

So, for those of you who actually do read this: Honesty always works best. Sure, you may lose your shot to get in my pants, out of deference to the person whose pants you've already committed to be in, but you'll keep my respect and my friendship, and I won't have to ruin another pair of shoes in shoving a stiletto so far up your ass that you're chewing on my pedicure.

I've been having some adventures of late, and apparently they're of interest to people, so I thought I'd, just this once, do what everyone else seems to be doing, and start a blog!
